How does the registration and onboarding process work at yoummday?
To work on the yoummday platform, you must first create a Talent account and complete the onboarding process. The entire process takes place online and usually consists of just a few simple steps, which are explained below.
Quick Navigation
Book an onboarding appointment
1. Create your account
Register at join.yoummday.com using:
- Your name
- Your email address
- A password of your choice
- Your country of residence

When registering, select the country where your billing address is located, meaning the country in which you are registered as a freelancer.
Please note: The billing country cannot be changed later. If you select the wrong country or move permanently to another country in the future, a new account must be created.
After registration, you will receive a confirmation email to activate your account.
2. Complete your profile
After your next login, you will be redirected to a page with additional information about yoummday and an overview of currently available projects. Click Continue to proceed.
You will then be asked to provide important profile information, including:
- Your language skills

-
Your previous work experience
-
Your personal details, including an identification document
Why do we require an ID document?
Your ID document is an important part of the onboarding process.
It helps us verify that you are the person you claim to be and that you meet the platform's compliance requirements. This step protects both you and our clients and is one of the most important requirements for successfully completing onboarding.
A fully completed profile also increases your chances of being accepted into projects later. In some cases, you may even be contacted before completing onboarding if your skills are particularly in demand.
3. Enter your address(es)
It is important for us to know both your working address and billing address so that we can determine which tax and data protection regulations apply to you.
This is also one of the reasons why clients may offer different opportunities for EU and non-EU countries.
There are two types of addresses on the platform:
- Your billing address
- Your working address

1) Your billing address
The billing address is the address used for invoices or credit notes and represents your business location.
It determines which tax and data protection regulations apply to you according to the laws of your country.
Please note: The country of this address cannot be changed afterward.
Make sure that the selected country matches the country where:
- You are registered as a freelancer, or
- Your business is located.
If you move to another country for an extended period, please inform us proactively so we can determine whether your billing address country needs to be updated. This helps avoid a potential account soft lock.

To verify your billing address, you will be asked to upload proof of address.
The document must come from an official or public authority and clearly display:
- Your full name
- The address listed in your profile
Examples of accepted proof-of-address documents include:
- An ID document showing your address
- Recent documents or invoices issued by official authorities (for example, a business registration certificate)
- A registration certificate or official government letter
- A utility or public service bill (for example, water, electricity, gas, mobile phone, or telephone provider)
2) Your working address
In addition to your billing address, your working address is the location from which you actually provide your services.
The working address:
- May be the same as your billing address, but does not have to be
- May be located in a different country
However, during onboarding you should be physically located within your billing country.
Depending on the project, it may be possible to work from multiple working addresses. Each working address must be declared and verified.
If you work on an EU project, you may only provide services for that customer from other EU countries.
Additional project-specific restrictions or verification processes may apply.
If anything is unclear, please contact your project's designated contact person.
4. Book an onboarding appointment
Once your profile and documents are complete, you can schedule your onboarding appointment.
The onboarding session takes place online via Microsoft Teams. Simply select the language, date, and time that suit you best.

Keep your ID document within reach.
It will be reviewed again during onboarding.
You can review all requirements at any time in the General and Special Confidentiality Agreements.
By registering on the platform, you confirm your agreement to comply with these workspace and technical requirements.
Attend onboarding
During the onboarding session, an Onboarding Manager will:
- Verify your identity and documents
- Verify your working address
- Explain how the platform works
- Review your technical setup
- Answer your questions
- Activate your account
If everything has been prepared correctly, the appointment usually takes around 20 minutes.
To avoid technical difficulties, it is recommended that you join the call approximately 5 minutes early.
6. Apply for projects
After successfully completing onboarding, your account will be activated.
You can then:
- Continue completing your profile
- Apply for available projects
- Participate in training sessions
- Start working on the platform
Because onboarding appointments are time-limited, yoummday also offers a voluntary live webinar every Monday at 4:00 PM (CET), except on German public holidays.
During this webinar, the platform and all of its functions and areas are explained in detail.
After successful onboarding, you can find the webinar link on the Talent Platform under:
