What is a Self Service or Managed Service project?

The differences between Self Service and Managed Service, explained simply

What is a Self Service project?

The yoummday platform offers different project models. One of them is Self Service.

In a Self Service project, the client organises and manages the project itself. yoummday provides the platform or marketplace and supports the matching process as well as invoicing and payment processing.

How does a Self Service project work?

In Self Service projects, the client is responsible for areas such as:

  • project planning,
  • communication with Talents,
  • operational support,
  • and project management.

In Self Service, the client is generally responsible for operational project management. Depending on the project model, yoummday may support the client in individual areas.

Are there any fees for Self Service projects?

From the announced introduction date, a platform fee will be charged for newly accepted Self Service projects.

Important:

    • The start date will be announced in advance.
    • Registration and use of the yoummday platform will remain free of charge.

What is a Managed Service project?

In addition to Self Service, yoummday also offers Managed Service projects.

In a Managed Service project, yoummday takes on the operational management of the project and provides the client with comprehensive support during delivery.

How does a Managed Service project work?

Depending on the project, yoummday may be responsible for areas such as:

    • recruiting new Talents,
    • onboarding,
    • training,
    • team leadership,
    • operational project management,
    • quality assurance,
    • and ongoing project support.

In Managed Service, yoummday therefore takes on a significant part of the operational project support and assists both the client and the Talents throughout the project.

How can I identify a Self Service or Managed Service project?

You can identify whether a project is Self Service or Managed Service directly in the project listing.

Managed Service projects display a small yoummday symbol next to the company logo. This symbol indicates that the project is operationally managed by yoummday.

Self Service projects do not display an additional yoummday symbol. In this case, the project is managed directly by the client.

Why is there a 2.9% cash discount (Skonto) in Managed Service?

In Managed Service, you receive your compensation on the regular payment date, regardless of when the client pays its invoice.

As a result, yoummday pre-finances the payment and assumes the pre-financing and non-payment risk.

A 2.9% cash discount (Skonto) is deducted from the compensation for this early payment.

Who should I contact if I have questions about my project?

For Self Service projects, the client is responsible for the operational management and proper handling of the project. Therefore, if you have questions about project processes, recorded services, remuneration or invoices, please always contact your project contact person first.

If the matter cannot be resolved with your contact person, you can then contact Talent Support. In this case, please describe the situation in as much detail as possible and let us know which steps you have already taken with your contact person. We will then review how we can support you.

For Managed Service projects, yoummday is responsible for a significant part of the operational project management. Our Talent Support can therefore generally provide more comprehensive assistance with questions about processes, billing and payouts.

Regardless of the project model, you are always welcome to contact us if you would like to provide feedback about a client or a project. Your feedback helps us continuously improve collaboration and quality on our platform.
