How Do I Start the IGEL UD Pocket?
This article is only relevant if you are active in a project that requires the use of an IGEL USB Stick (IGEL UD Pocket).
To start your computer using the IGEL UD Pocket, you need to adjust the boot settings during startup.
Your computer must support booting from USB devices.
The keys used to access the boot menu vary depending on the manufacturer. Common options include:
- F12 (very common on many PCs)
- F10 (often used on Intel devices)
- F9 (often used on HP devices)
When your computer starts, repeatedly press the appropriate key until the Boot Menu appears. Then select:
"UD Pocket" from the list of available boot devices.
If the Boot Menu Does Not Open
If the method above does not work, open your computer's BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing one of the following keys during startup:
- Delete (Del)
- F1
- F2
Within the BIOS/UEFI settings:
- Ensure that USB booting is enabled.
- If necessary, change the boot order so that USB devices are checked first.
If you are unsure how to do this, consult the BIOS/UEFI documentation provided by your device manufacturer.
For additional information about booting the IGEL UD Pocket, you can also visit the manufacturer's onboarding page:
