[IGEL](https://helpdesk.yoummday.com/en/knowledge/system?hsLang=en#igel) # How do I start the IGEL UD Pocket? ## This article is only relevant if you are active in a project that requires the use of an IGEL USB Stick (IGEL UD Pocket).  To start your computer using the **IGEL UD Pocket**, you need to adjust the boot settings during startup.   Your computer must support **booting from USB devices**.  The keys used to access the boot menu vary depending on the manufacturer. Common options include: - **F12** (very common on many PCs) - **F10** (often used on Intel devices) - **F9** (often used on HP devices) When your computer starts, repeatedly press the appropriate key until the **Boot Menu** appears. Then select: **"UD Pocket"** from the list of available boot devices. #### If the Boot Menu Does Not Open If the method above does not work, open your computer's **BIOS/UEFI settings** by pressing one of the following keys during startup: - **Delete (Del)** - **F1** - **F2** Within the BIOS/UEFI settings: 1. Ensure that **USB booting** is enabled. 2. If necessary, change the **boot order** so that USB devices are checked first.   If you are unsure how to do this, consult the BIOS/UEFI documentation provided by your device manufacturer.
