What documents are required and how do I upload them?
The security and reliability of our platform are very important to us, both for our talents and our clients. This article explains which documents are required and how you can upload them.
Immediately after registration, you will be asked to upload verification documents. We require the following:
1. A valid identification document
This is required because many of our client projects involve working with personal data.
To prevent the misuse of sensitive information, we must verify your identity.
Accepted document types include any officially recognized identification document in your country, such as:
- National ID card
- Passport
- Driver's license
- Residence permit
2. Proof of address
To verify the authenticity of your billing address, you will also need to upload proof of address.
If your address is not listed on your ID document, you may alternatively provide:
- A recent utility bill (e.g., electricity, water, internet, or telephone)
- A certificate of residence or registration document
The document must be issued by an official or public authority and must clearly display:
- The sender's details
- Your full name
- The address stored in your profile
3. Business registration certificate (if your billing address is in Germany)
If your billing address is located in Germany, you must provide a business registration certificate (Gewerbeschein).
This document is required to ensure that your income is taxed in accordance with the applicable legal requirements for freelancers and businesses.
For talents based in Germany, this document is required shortly after onboarding.
How do I upload new documents?
After onboarding, you can upload new verification documents in your Account under Documents.
Once the new document has been uploaded, you can remove the outdated document from your profile.
You can find your uploaded documents in the "Only Visible to Me" section.
To access both your Account and Profile, click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the Talent Platform.
Please do not delete verification documents unless you are replacing them with an updated version, even if your onboarding has already been completed.
