Am I employed or self-employed on the yoummday Platform?

In this article, you'll learn about your relationship with yoummday and your status when working through the platform.

All talents on the yoummday platform work as self-employed professionals.

You therefore act as an independent contractor who offers professional services through our platform. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are properly registered as self-employed in your respective billing country and, where required, that you declare and pay any applicable taxes.

yoummday acts as an intermediary and provides the technical infrastructure that connects project clients with talents. Through the platform, you can accept and complete assignments. Compensation is also processed exclusively through the platform. The project clients are customers of yoummday.

You independently make all decisions regarding:

  • Which projects you want to work on
  • How much you want to earn
  • How you organize your working time

You are not an employee of yoummday, nor are you an employee of any project client.
From a legal perspective, your relationship with yoummday is that of an independent freelancer (self-employed contractor) using the platform to provide services to clients, rather than an employment relationship.
